Christie on the road

Governor-elect Christie is making his first trip out of state. And it is to Texas where he will attend today’s annual conference of the Republican Governors Association.

His agenda includes an afternoon session, a press availability and a “victory barbecue” in the LBJ Pavillion of the Hyatt in Lost Pines, Texas.

You have to love the political irony _ Republicans cavorting at the LBJ Pavillion. I guess the Tom DeLay Center isn’t built yet.

Lost Pines is near Austin, the “Tom DeLay Center” will be in his “home town” – Houston. I’ll make sure you get an invite when it opens. 😉

Let us know if you also want an invite for the opening of the George W. Bush Presidential Center at SMU.

  2. If you get an extra invite to the George W, Bush Center, I’ll be glad to visit … Years ago, I visited Richard Nixon’s birthplace in Yorba Linda, Calf. How many people can say that?

I’ve driven through Yorba Linda, but didn’t stop at the Nixon Shrine.

I am optimistic.I would bet he will be down there seeking ideas on how to save NJ a few bucks. We need all the help we can get.
The man who is on his way out did very little to help with the tax rate. I look forward to tax reform im NJ.

I’m not sure how this visit to Texas going to yield any insight on NJ taxes woes, though maybe a visit to the Tom DeLay Dance Studio will provide Governor-elect Christie with a few smooth moves.
