You’ve got to love “NUMBER 7”

That would be Frank Druetzler, the former freeholder and current mayor of Morris Plains. I had lunch today with Frank and Joan Bramhall, the county clerk. The mayor gave me a lovely gift .. a framed collage of headlines about me .. there were Cheers for my years of service and a Jeer to the Daily Record for getting rid of me.

The mayor also recalled an April Fool’s Day editorial I wrote a few years back about putting a baseball stadium in the Washington Valley section of Morris and Mendham townships.

Moreover, there was a picture of me, Frank and Chris Christie above the caption — Republicans put the squeeze on Fred.

It was all very nice.
