The State of the Union

It arrives, or at least the speech does, at 9 p.m., and it comes with the president seeing his highest aproval ratings in months. His average is now above 50 percent and even polls by conservative outfits like Fox News and Rasmussan show him with more pluses than minuses.

Tell us what you think of the speech.

IT was self serving and political.

Analysis of speech and comments to follow.

As an aside, it was interesting to see that on a night when everyone in the House and Senate were trying to show some measure of bi-partisan/non-partisan spirit by sitting with members opposite, our two Senators were firmly planted with like minded Liberals, or in Frank Lautenberg’s case, Senator Socialist – Bernie Sanders. I guess Karl Marx was otherwise occupied.

  3. Ted Doty says:

I’m not sure if Pbrain is knocking Lautenberg or Sanders…or if he’d have preferred assigned seating assuring liberal conservative arrangement

Maybe the Pbrain is confused about the definition democratic socialism.

Or maybe the Pbrain didn’t see the gaggle of right wingnuts that Mitch McConnell sat with.

Or just maybe Pbrain is simply flapping his yap…yeah, that’s the ticket. Pbrain is flapping his yap.

  4. P says:

Last time I checked, we live in NJ, so you do the math.

P.S. Where is one’s “yap”? And how does one “flap” it? I checked my copy of Gray’s Anatomy and it wasn’t listed, nor was “flapping”.

  5. Ted Doty says:

ROFLMAO. The Pbrain attempts clever metaphor but winds up with disjointed nonsense

  6. Patsy from 23rd Street says:

I was pissed off because i didn’t see NCIS at 9pm and Detroit 187 at 10pm. WTF?
