In line at the buffet at the announcement ceremony? 🙂

  2. Bob Grant says:

Queen Latifah and Martha Stewart on the same level with Admiral Bull Halsey? I am sure the late Admiral would be delighted. This man commanded the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal which was fought and won on November 12–15, 1942. It was one of the early major defeats for the Japanese Navy, although loses were heavy on both sides. Halsey also commanded Task Force 38 in 1944, which was a key part of the Americans securing control of the sea routs near Japan. He commanded his huge fleet from the new battleship New Jersey.

Why are we honoring Brendan Byrne? The guy gave us the Income Tax to fix our Property Tax problem. How’s that working out for all you residents of Morris County?

  4. Kevin Nedd says:

Dana Elaine Owens better known by her stage name Queen Latifah, is an American rapper, actress and singer. Queen Latifah’s work in music, film and television has earned her a Golden Globe award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Image Awards, a Grammy Award, six additional Grammy nominations, an Emmy Award nomination and an Academy Award nomination.

The late Admiral should be honored to have been named with someone who clearly has been recognized as a top performer within her chosen field.

  5. P says:

Gee, and I thought Nedd would be complaining that she “never served!” I guess that is only an issue for people who have a differing POV. 😉

  6. Kevin Nedd says:

    P,

That’s a standard I only hold for GOP hypocrites. Welcome to the club!

  7. P says:

A “Standard” one holds just for one’s enemies . . I believe they call that 1.) a Guideline, and 2.) HYPOCRISY!

  8. Kevin Nedd says:

    P,

I dont hold anyone as my “enemy”. Sorry you feel so guilty.

  9. P says:

No feeling guilty, and I call em like I see em.

P.S. Can you really say that people you call Morons, Incompetents, Liars, etc. are your friends?

  10. Bob Grant says:

Kevin, you have to be kidding. Garbage collectors are more important than entertainers or sports figures. If the entire entertainment and sports industries in New Jersey closed up shop there would be a huge uproar in the press and a few people would be directly affected; if the garbage men go out on strike there would shortly be a declaration of a state of public health emergency and a court order to get them back on the job. No judge ever, is going to order a rapper to rap.

  11. Kevin Nedd says:

    Bob,

The logic of your argument and how it applies to whom or who should not be inducted into a “Hall Of FAME” escapes me. Perhaps you might try again, only this time look up the word F-A-M-E prior to constructing your irrelevant points.

  12. P says:

Garbage men are important, but there are a gazillion of them all doing the same job. So I doubt any one of them will become FAMEous for lifting a pail into a truck and then tossing it back onto my front lawn.

Maybe Bob could start the Garbagemen’s Hall of Fame. Location – High atop the garbage mountains in Fresh Kills, SI.

  13. Mark in Rockaway says:

Nedd makes a point here. It’s the NJ Hall of FAME, not always the Hall of VALUE.
