J-E-T-S rally

The Jets plan a pep rally/send off for the team Saturday morning at their Florham Park facility. This was done before last year’s AFC championship game as well. Last year’s format included a speech by Rex Ryan and the players walking past the crowd and signing autographs.

A memo from the police chief in Florham Park notes:

“The anticipated crowd, based on last years numbers and the increasing popularity of the NY Jets, is estimated to be in the thousands. The Florham Park Police Department, with the assistance of the NY Jets security and surrounding law enforcement agencies, will be providing both traffic and crowd control for this event beginning at 8:00 AM.”

You got to love it: The Jets now own New York/New Jersey.

It would be nice to see the governor show up. He is, (for some reason) a Cowboys fan, but some of his kids are Jet fans.
