So much for politics' It's time …

to start thinking about the Jets beating the Patriots tomorrow …

For someone like myself, who had Jet season tickets for 40 years, hope remains that I will be able to see the Jets win another Super Bowl. And let’s remember, they are a “Morris County” team.

With the Giants’ hopes and dreams now just a distant memory, hopefully all of NJ can get behind the Jets.

Jets Go Jets Go! Fred dad has tix as long as you! Go Green!

    Road Trip!

    Hey Fred?

The Teams official names are New York Jets and New York Giants. I stopped rooting for them when they refused to change their names and when the Giants’ Linebackers corps tried to snort the 45 yard line at halftime one year.

  5. Hi Bob
I am surprised at your “conservative” position here.
Really now, it’s no surprise that men in their 20’s who are making big money would dabble in drugs, Who cares? I dabbled in drugs and I was hardly making big money ..:-) .
As for the name, I am a traditionalist in sports. Both teams have had the New York name since their inception and I would hate to see it changed.. And besides, we live in the New York metro-area

As you know, I am a reasonable man who says and does reasonable things. I am neither conservative nor liberal, but the soul of sweet reason. Therefore, all who differ with me are, as you might have guessed, unreasonable.

I was born in Paterson, NJ Founded by Alexander Hamilton who lived in Manhattan at the time. He didn’t insist that it be called Paterson, New York or New York Paterson.

The failure to change the name by the football teams was a huge slap in the face considering the profit margins are dicated by Television and sales revenues, not ticket sales and the fact that when Meadowlands Stadium was built, it was at the taxpayer of New Jersey’s expense. Keep in mind that Brendan Bryne got ambused by David Rockefeller and and the NY Banks who pulled funding at the last minute in an attempt to scuddle the stadium and the deal to bring the Giants to New Jersey. Bryne pulled a rabbit out of the hat by getting NJ banks to finance the deal.

Even when the Giants were in NY, 2/3rds of the season tickets were held by New Jerseyans.

    We was robbed!!
