Kind of chummy in Parsippany

You have got to love the reasons given by some as to why Vinny Ferrara was picked to replace Ann Grossi on the township council.
It seems like Ferrara has been a good worker for Republican campaigns in town.
Silly me, I thought the idea was to appoint someone knowledgeable about local government. In a brief interview with our reporter Rob Jennings, Ferrara did not seem all that up to speed on a rather important matter _ the state’s 2 percent property tax cap… Oh well.

Look, we all know that politicians give jobs to their political friends. But, usually, you put a buddy on the recreation committee, not the council.

Fred, I agree with you on your take here. A person who sits on any of these governing bodies needs to do the leg work that would have them up to speed on any issues. But too often it comes down to POLITICS!
