Come on, it's not only the Dems

The governor was on a series of radio interviews yesterday in which he suggested criticism of his behavior during last week’s blizzard was politically inspired.

“Democrats in this state are dying to criticize me,” he said.

That may be, but let’s keep things in perspective.  The old joke is that there is no Democratic or Republican way to fix a pot-hole. Ditto for removing snow.

The governor would be advised to realize that even those who have supported him (We have done so more times than not on the editorial page) have a problem with him and the lt. gov being on vacation at the same time.

But Fred, the LT Gov’s father is terminal, probably last Christmas. Have a little bit of an open mind

I see this more as a first term mistake. It should not happen in the future.
Over the past few years we have not had that many big snow storms. But bad ones linger in memory. Overall the clean up was not that bad. I saw lots of plows out all day and night. People should be happy that we have things pretty good here weather wise. The one last week was brutal. Great for the skiers etc,but it was hard to get around, park etc. Look for the positive! We need some good news! Good for the imune system.
