How can you work for Christie …

and not be a baseball fan?  The governor is a big Met fan. (bless his heart).

At any rate, Christie mentioned baseball agent Scott Boras in a rant the other day against the Chatham board of education. Boras is known for getting very good deals for his clients.

When the governor’s office sent out a transcript of the comments, Boras was spelled like this … B-O-R-I-S … ,like Yeltsin or Karloff.  Ouch,.

God, the guy who did that must have been a Yankee fan.

Speaking of basdeball maybe that’s the best solution. Instead of a “hard cap” which baseball does not have Christie should impose a “luxury tax” instead by deducting the amount over the superintendent’s cap from the amount of state aid the district receives.

Christie will be on “60 Minutes” this sunday. I dont think he will be talking about baseball. The sunday show could show him as a leader who speaks his mind. Not the usual elected official. Most of them are looking to get elected again. He seems to want to make some needed changes. Fred I think even you agree with some of his concepts.
As far as the Mets go………..how will they do against the Philles? The Braves? I too am a Mets fan but they need to step up in 2011. They could be a good team but they have to start believing in themselves!!
