Christie vs. Chatham

The governor at a press conference today continued his criticism of the School District of the Chathams and a new contract _ in defiance of a pending state cap _ that the board gave superintendent Jim O”Neill. Here is what he said:

“These school boards need to start representing the taxpayers and stop being agents for school superintendents.  … I look at the school board in Chatham. You know, they make Scott Boras blush with their advocacy for this Jim O’Neill character. You would think the guy invented the book from the way they talk about him.”  (Boras is a baseball players agent).

One Response to Christie vs. Chatham

  1. Edward S France says:

Mr Chistie does not pull too many punches. It that a good thing? At least we know where he stands. It rubs some people the wrong way but hey the State needs some new ideas and actions. For too long it was business as usual. The bills are now due. Look at California. The State can not do it all, or be all things to all of the people. No free lunch. We have to work together. If that is done all will recieve a fair shake.
