No raise for Seitz? Talk about confusion

Chris Christie said at a town meeting today in Gloucester County that a raise in advance of a pending superintendents’ cap taking effect in February has not been approved by the county superintendent of schools.

This sounds simple, but it’s far from that .

If the county super. Kathleen Serafino, did not approve the contract, why did the Parsippany school board say she did?
And if Serafino has indeed nixed Seitz’ contract, how about the other superintendents who have  gotten raises in advance of a cap that is designed to limit the pay of superintendents to a maximum of $175,000?
What is the status of their contracts?

Fred, both parties seem to be in a state of consternation about the status of the contract. They should both get their facts together.
