Shared services among symphony orchestras?

The Colonial Symphony of Morristown is clearly in some sort of financial distress. Its website offers no schedule of performances for the 2010-11 year and if you call their number, you get a recorded message saying that their “summer hours” are limited. Well, the summer is over.
Now, we hear that talks are ongoing to merge the Colonial Symphony with the Westfield Symphony Orchestra.
