Christie gets federal trade post

Our governor has been appointed to the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations (ACTPN) by President Barack Obama.

“It is an honor to be named by the President to the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations,” Christie said in a statement.  “New Jersey in many ways is considered the gateway to international trade.”

Administered by the U.S. Trade Representative, Ambassador Ron Kirk, the Advisory Committee provides policy advice on trade issues of overall national interest. Committee members, who represent a broad array of economic sectors impacted by trade, serve two-year terms.
