Highlands nominees coming soon

Many in northwest New Jersey, especially conservative Republicans, would like to see the state’s Highlands Council disappear.

Deciding what to do with the council is now the job of Chris Christie. His transition team report trashed the council and the governor has let multiple vacancies on the council to remain. Many members are serving as holdovers.

Christie said today that he plans to name nominees to the council by late September, early October. He said many names have been forwarded to him and that he is consodering them.
