A fundraiser for the "liquid church"

You see that Morristown’s Liquid Church is holding a 5K run to raise money for a clean water project in Africa. Hmm … If they hadn’t given away free gas and an assortment of other stuff, maybe they would already have the needed funds.

    Are you serious?

You are actually ridiculing them for fundraising after they have already given out thousands of dollars to those in need?

That’s like saying: Bob needs some coffee. Hmm … if he hadn’t drank his previous one, maybe he would already have the needed coffee.

    poor form.

  2. Lighten up … it’s a joke

Lighten up is right. The publicity stunts where they handed stuff out for free was just that. Rich, poor, needy or not, that had no bearing. So, “stunned,” keep in mind that while it sounds all warm and fuzzy, this organization’s previous handouts were available to anyone who happened by. Your characterization that they gave out “thousands of dollars to those in need” is erroneous.

Why Africa? They can’t find anyone in need here in Morris County?
