Corzine attacks

As Chris Christie was unveiling his anti-corruption platform in Paramus today, Jon Corzine was on the attack. The governor sent out a statement that said in part …

“”During his campaign for Morris County freeholder, according to the Daily Record, Christie said that “put[ting] out to bid all contracts for consultants and professionals” was “one of his major campaign themes. Christie said

that “This one of the major things I’m running on. It makes common sense. It’s good government. Let the chips fall where they may and get the best people at the best price.”

Then, after being sworn into office, Christie promptly broke the central promise of his candidacy and voted for no-bid contracts for his campaign contributors.

Well, I was around then and I have no idea what this release is talking about … Governor, we need more explanation, please.

Check out this article on It seems Freeholders awarded a non-competitive contract to an engineering firm that donated $500 to Christie’s campaign.

Ummm…Fred, are you listening? Do you have an opinion on Christie giving no-bid contracts to Ashcroft, his former boss, worth tens of millions of dollars? Ummm…corruption buster? I think not. Just another corrupt politician. Welcome to New Jersey!

I don’t understand why you are still banging that same tired drum. it is not working the people have to work to hard to put together the story. Why would they want to work that hard when there is so much low hanging junk to pick on corzslim.

I think the truth matters. Don’t you? Or are you gonna tell me that our President isn’t American? Or maybe you’ll tell me that we MUST never make any diplomatic effort with North Korea…

  5. Hogwash11 says:

You Libs and the past Democratic Presidents have been trying to get the crazies in North Korea to come to the Diplomatic table and they keep spitting on you so when will you give up, when they lay a nuke on Japan. I would never persume to tell you anything you are way to smart for me.

what are you talking about? you already presumed that i am a liberal democrat! that’s too funny. in fact, i don’t resolve issues on party lines. i turn my brain on and evaluate them for myself. sometimes i agree with a so-called republican stance on an issue and sometimes with a so-called democratic stance. sometimes its more like a pox on both their houses.

and that’s exactly my point. agreeing with a party line all the way on every issue seems wrongly motivated to me. we should hold all these “representatives of the people” accountable for their actions and their decisions and demand a hell of a lot more than we have been getting in the past and in the present. from both parties.

its too bad politicians are rarely in it for the right reasons. and its worse that we keep electing and re-electing without focusing on the right issue — which would be whether these folks are leading and voting their conscience or simply aiming for re-election.

corzine is by far the worst governor in state history. that alone is enough to vote for christie.

the fact that corzine has yet to campaign on any accomplishment of his just underscores just how horrible he has been.
