Chris Daggett is in the race

When Chris Daggett, once of the Department of Environmental Protection, and now an independent candidate for governor, dropped in to visit us a few weeks ago,  he said he was on his way to raising the $340,000 needed to qualify him for public financing …

Daggett now has done that, meaning he will not only got public money, but will be included in debates with Jon Corzine and Chris Christie.

Running an an independent is hardly easy, but Daggett is certainly making a mark for credibility by rasing $340,000.

Good for him…independent candidates always spice up a race by being able to bring up issues that the two major parties would rather avoid.

  2. Harry32 says:

Daggett in the race pulls from Corzine so the Christy camp must be delighted.
