Lonegan's not worried

Two polls this week show Republican gubernatorial candidate Chris Christie widening his lead over Steve Lonegan.

But at least outwardly, Lonegan is not worried. He said today that  Christie’s surge is due to the fact he’s spent a lot of money — more than a million dollars — to attack his record. Lonegan said he’s drafting a response and that he has the money to circulate it the last 12 days of the campaign.

He said he’s confident the polls will turn around.  But that has to happen quickly.

-Why should the voters vote for a Republican who acts like a Democrat … when they can get the real thing?

-The only difference between Corzine and Christie is that you will be paying for the Regular Republican party hacks instead of the Democrat hacks.

-If Christie wins the primary I am undecided who to vote for in the November … It will be either PA, NC or FL.

-Christie/Corzine wants to increase the school year and the school day … and increase your property taxes.

-Christie wants to cut taxes, give rebates, and hire all his buddies. No wonder he problems with Math in school, it doesn’t add up.

The Loonigans are getting desperate; they are resorting to lies and name calling in place of real solutions to the state’s problems. The call us party hack in a recent commercial and I am deeply offended. Lonegan has all these slogans he uses and he knows that he cannot deliver on these shallow promises. The truth is that he is a nut case and his followers are all the same. Polls show Christie 56% and Lonegan 32% looks like a ass whooping in the making.

Ed, I am glad my party doesn’t act like that.

Talk to the people in your community. There are very few hard core Christie supporters unless they are part of the good-old-boy network. They are generally people looking for favors or jobs. Then talk to the Lonegan supporters and you will see the difference.

Lonegan wrote a 2007 book about his plan, Putting Taxpayers First. there is no real attack for the plan except to act like ACORN members and try to scare seniors. The overall plan will reduce spending and taxes. Instead of robocalls and misleading mailers see the numbers at TaxpayersUnion.org
