Guess what, the national Democratic ….

Committee is trying to derail the Chris Christie campaign. This is sound logic — Christie is perceived as the strongest GOP candidate, so the Dems want Steve Lonegan, the so-called weaker candidate of the two, to win the June 2 primary.

Politics as usual, right?

Well, Christie took some righteous indignation at the scenario. In a conference call today, he said, “They should stay out of the Republican primary.”

He added, “My argument is with the governor, (and) that he permits this to go on.”

  1. Ed Ramirez says:

This is what Democratics did in 2008 with McCain and this is what they hope to do with Christie, but is will not work this time. Christie has peopole that will keep him from making the the same mistake. Republicans should determine whop runs for their seats.

  2. Mark in Rockaway says:

How are they trying to derail it? I can’t find anything in the news that describes what steps they might be taking, other than a couple of NJ congressional democrats inviting Christie to testify at a hearing 2 weeks before the primary.
