Korpita and AA — How do you check?

Just an observation about ex-municipal court judge George Korpita who was convicted of drunk driving for the second time this week.

He was spared a jail term of 45 days if he attends AA meetings.  Reasonable perhaps, but one question … Considering that AA meetings are private affairs, how does the court check to see if he is attending?

Only 45 days???? How about 5 years. Minimum. And permanent loss of driver’s license. He already got to keep his law license for no good reason.

He drove drunk. Twice. Passed out, sh*t-faced drunk. And he tried to get away with it twice.

This guy should be in jail. Period. If he was a regular guy and not a lawyer and a former judge he’d be behind bars.

    There is no justice.

To make sure someone is attending AA meetings, the person going must bring back signed sheets from the chairman of the meeting.

He should be in jail. The rest of us drivers are lucky that we weren’t on the road near him when he was driving around drunk! His sentence makes a mockery of all the drunk driving laws we have in place to supposedly protect those of us who are not drunk out of our minds when behind the wheel.

This is a fine example of how crooked our justice realy is, here you have someone who knows the rules and regs, better than the average person, and whats the punishment, a lecture and basicaly a slap on the rist. These sort of actions taken by our gov.,and law makers just fills my mouth with vomit,I dont care who he is or what possition in life he holds but he should see maximum punishment, fines, and head- ach as everyone else has to endure. bottom line this guys a jerk-off and this state can go to hell. thanx
