Christie offers a challenge

Republican Chris Christie today called on the state Legislature to overrule Jon Corzine’s proposed budget for next year and to restore both the deductability of property taxes and property tax rebates.

Dems control both houses, but I’m sure there are some Democrats who are uneasy about the one-two punch of losing both rebates and property tax deductability. Let’s see what happens.

By the way, it may not rank with economic theory as promulgated at the  famous school of economics at the University of Chicago, but Christie said he learned that one does not raise taxes in a recession while a student at the University of Delaware. Go Blue Hens!
