Bucco and jobs

Assembly candidate Anthony Bucco today released a plan for “business growth and job creation.”

His ideas include reducing the corporate business tax, indexing the corporate income tax brackets, business tax credits and reinstating the business entertainment tax deduction.

Bucco says that will help restaurants stay open and protect jobs for waiters, bartenders and the like. Perhaps, but it’s going to be a tough sell to suggest that guys who take their cleints to lunch or dinner deserve a tax break for doing so. This is a perk that by definition would only benefit those near the top of the income ladder. Bucco should forget about this reform.

If not, and if he gets elected and if his idea becomes law (a lot of ifs there_, I expect him to take me out to a fancy lunch and deduct it. 🙂

One of the reasons that Deocrats will not go along with Bucco”s plan is that lunch is not enough for them, they need big bucks not a peasly lunch.

  2. Good point Ed. Lunch is not enough. He better take me to dinner.
