Who needs Tom Kean?

Steve Lonegan has Pat Cassio, the Republican chair of Rahway on his side.

As Kean was endorsing Chris Christie, Cassio was endorsing Lonegan.

Said Lonegan, “I have a lot of respect for former Governor Kean. But I did not seek his endorsement. Tom Kean and I are very different kind of Republicans.”

He then blasted Kean for increasing taxes and state spending during his time in office.

Steve Lonegan,is a good candidate with real ideas. But can he win the inner city voter? The issues he talks about, many in the cities may not care about.

    Hi Fred,

I respect Lonegan for keeping true to his values. So many political fugues in NJ call themselves Republicans, but they would be considered a socialist in many other parts of the country…

Many I speak with say they agree with Lonegan’s points, but they think he is too radical. I say – don’t we need a little bit of “radical” change in NJ? It can’t get much worse than it already is…

oops – that was figures, not fugues…
